Shipping, Boxes, Aesthetic

Who would have thought such a delicate little bell jar would have caused me to consider so many things such as:

  • How to ship to my customers

  • Boxing/item protection options

  • The "AntiqueTherapy delivery aesthetic"

Today I ran to the post office in search for boxes, because I really do want my my items to be safe, and learned that the smallest ones they gave out were 8X8X8. While that's perfect for some of my merchandise, Its a little excessive for the little bell jar.

So, I came back home and rummaged through my garage again. There seems to be a lot of cardboard boxes accumulating there... But aha! I found one that's 6X6X6. Now were talking...

Now the little bell jar is snug as a bug in a rug.

The next item of business... "Aesthetic."

Whenever I've ordered stuff from etsy I always look forward to seeing how the seller portrays themselves through the extra stuff that comes with the item I purchased. Some people send thankyou notes, business cards, little paper goodies like party favors. It makes me feel that as a buyer, they really care that I am pleased with their business.

This may be an opportunity to throw in some of my own artwork, or little squares of excess fabric I've been hoarding. I don't want it to be trashy though... Well, i guess i have an afternoon project now.
